Company presents a donation to young Gozitan Matthew Galea
CareMalta Group donated in support of an initiative by 20-year-old Gozitan Matthew Galea, with funds going towards Puttinu Cares. This comes as, on Thursday, 19th March, Matthew will be undertaking a cycling marathon in Gozo. The 40km marathon will start and finish in the main square of Għarb, Gozo.
Matthew Galea, who works at Dar San Gużepp facility in Għajnsielem, which is operated by CareMalta Group, has made this a yearly initiative since 2024. He explained that he has always loved cycling since he was young, and since he often hears about initiatives with a noble cause, he wanted to organise something similar himself. It was for this reason that he came up with the idea of organising this marathon in aid of Puttinu Cares.
Matthew hopes that over time, apart from raising more funds through this initiative, other people—including young individuals like himself—will join him in this marathon.
He was presented with the donation at the CareMalta Group offices in Mosta, where the company’s Chief Operating Officer, Noel Borg, presented the donation on behalf of the company. Borg stated that, as a company, CareMalta Group has always supported initiatives that make a strong impact on the community.
