The role

A vacancy has arisen in our Maintenance Department for the post of Painter & Decorator on a full-time basis. The selected candidate would need to have previous experience and would be prepared to support the maintenance team in the general tasks and duties.

Main Responsibilities include:

• Preparing surfaces for painting such as sanding, filling and priming.
• Painting student rooms, corridors and communal spaces.
• Applying wallpaper, varnish and other decorative finishes.
• Ensuring a high-quality finish and attention to detail.
• Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
• Keeping work areas clean.
• Assisting the maintenance team when necessary.
• Following all health and safety regulations.
• Adhering to company policies and legal regulations.
• Other miscellaneous duties

Skills and Requirements:

• Having two (2) years’ experience in a similar role would be considered an asset;
• Eye for detail;
• Good verbal skills, particularly in English;
• Good communication skills;
