The role

As a member of the team, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the property section within Vassallo Group Realty Ltd.

Main Responsibilities include:

• Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, servicing, and repairs on property structures, and systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns or leaks.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose issues and efficiently perform repairs to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Plastering and Painting: Carry out plastering, painting, and touch-up work as needed to maintain the aesthetic and structural integrity of the premises.
• Drain Blockages: Respond to and resolve issues related to blocked drains, ensuring proper drainage and preventing further complications.
• Structural Issues: Identify and address any structural issues within the building, including minor repairs and coordination of more significant work as necessary.
• Appliance Upgrades and Modifications: Assist in the installation, upgrading, and modification of equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of maintenance supplies, parts, and tools, ensuring necessary materials are available for repairs and upgrades.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments to coordinate repairs, improvements, and equipment installations while providing timely updates on maintenance progress.
• Electrical Readings: Take regular electrical readings to monitor power consumption, identify irregularities, and ensure compliance with energy standards.
• Water Readings: Take regular water readings to track usage, detect leaks, and ensure systems are functioning properly.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring that all work complies with health and safety regulations to provide a safe working environment for all staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Having two (2) years’ experience in a similar role would be considered an asset.
• Organizational skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, particularly in English.
• Able to build customer relationships and ensure good communication.
