The Role
A vacancy has arisen in our Accounts Department for the post of Junior Accountant on a full-time basis. The selected candidate would need to have a solid knowledge of accounting practices and would be prepared to support the Financial Controller in reporting, statements and guiding team members.

Main Responsibilities include:
• Assist with general ledger entries, accounts payable, and receivable processing.
• Prepare and file VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
• Monitor VAT deadlines and resolve discrepancies.
• Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Supervise and guide other team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Provide support during audits by preparing required documentation.
• Other ad-hoc reporting as may be required.

Skills and Requirements:
• Be in possession of a degree in Accounting or in process of obtaining the ACCA;
• Have two (2) years’ experience in a similar role would be considered an asset;
• Analytical and organizational skills;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in English;
• Able to build customer relationships and ensure good communication;
