The Role

A vacancy has arisen at the Mediterranean College of Sport (MCS) & Sports Star Lodge for the post of Front Office Receptionist on a full-time basis. We are looking for a smart and professional person to manage our front office and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. In this role, the selected person will be the first point of contact at the School and its accommodation facility, Sport Star Lodge. She/he will be in charge of giving members of staff, parents and visitors directions to the various parts of the premises, contacting members of Staff, answering phone calls, taking messages, sorting and distributing mail when necessary.

The selected person will be responsible for:

• Greeting clients and visitors with a positive attitude.
• Directing clients and visitors to the respective offices as necessary.
• Assisting the School Leadership Team and the School Secretary in administrative tasks as required.
• Preparing and setting up of meeting rooms.
• Answering phones in a professional manner, and redirecting calls as necessary.
• Sorting and distributing mail when necessary.
• Providing excellent customer service to the whole school community.

Qualifications and Skills:

• In possession of at least MQF Level 3 level of education.
• Prior experience as a Receptionist or in a similar position would be considered an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Multi-tasking and can work under pressure and on her/his own initiative.
• Be competent in Microsoft applications.
• Have a flexible approach.
• Able to contribute positively as part of a team, by helping out with various tasks as may be required.

The role

A vacancy has arisen at the Mediterranean College of Sport (MCS) & Sports Star Lodge for the post of Maintenance Technician on a full-time basis. The selected candidate would need to have a solid knowledge of maintenance and would be prepared to support the maintenance team in the general tasks and duties.

Main Responsibilities include:

• Scheduling in house maintenance including HVAC upkeep, plumbing, lift maintenance, general carpentry as well as any other general maintenance needs for MCS and Sports Star Lodge.
• Recording Electrical, Water and Gas meter readings.
•  Recording hot water temperature.
• Recording chlorine level of first-class water system.
• Daily maintenance at the College (including the pool area), in student accommodation and car park.
• Installating, testing, modification and commissioning of Extra low voltage system such as but not limited to CCTV System, Fire Alarm and Access control systems and car park system.
• Upkeeping of classrooms and labs
• Inspecting guest rooms and making modifications in room layout depending on guests’ requirements on booking.
• Assisting and monitoring sub-contractors working at the College and in guest rooms;
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices/ Able to Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond to emergency maintenance situations outside regular working hours may be required.
• Able to juggle multiple maintenance requests and projects simultaneously while ensuring that routine maintenance tasks are completed on schedule.
• Adhering to College’s policies and legal regulations.
• Other ad-hoc reporting as it may be required.

Skills and Requirements:

• Have two (2) years’ experience in a similar role would be considered an asset.
• Organizational skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, particularly in English.
• Able to build customer relationships and ensure good communication.
