CaterEssence is one of the largest and leading privately owned contract caterers in Malta. Established in 2010, CaterEssence operates from a central food processing unit which is spread over 2000 sq. metres at ‘The Landmark’ in Qormi, operating and specialising in contract catering and retail food sales.
We are looking for an energetic and talented Baker to join our skilled team of chefs at CaterEssence. This role entails someone to daily create mouth-watering Pies, Pastizzi, Sausage-Rolls; you name it, we create it!
- Weighing out of ingredients for all recipes, including dough, pastries and other items
- Scaling and shaping of dough
- Preparation of any sweet and savory items
- Maintain efficiency during periods of high demand
- Lead and of the flour area
- Always provide the highest standard of product quality
- Maintain high hygiene standards
Person Specification (Skills; Knowledge; Experience; Attitude)
- Minimum of 1 Year experience in a commercial establishment
- Proven all round skill set: Creativity, Leadership, Communication, Organization & Cooking Skill.
- Positive can-do attitude
- Keen on working on own initiative in a fast-paced environment
- Have a natural ability to motivate and inspire colleagues
- Prior experience within food manufacturing production will be considered an asset
- Passion for baking and keen to develop further the skills
